Accessability

Living in an 80+year-old building can be a challenge; especially when it comes to making it accessible to everyone. The building itself was not planned in 1928 with accessability in mind, nevertheless, the congregation has made the following progress in making the building more accessible than it previously was.

Here's what you'll find:

  • Reserved parking-spaces in the church parking-lot for those with handicapped permits; closest to the walkway to the church.
  • A lift from street-level to ground-floor level located inside the door to the garden entrancePC130119.JPG

  • A ramp has been built to eliminate steps from the ground-floor level to the level of the Nave floor.
  • Spaces reserved distributed among the pews for parking a wheelchair.
  • Unisex accessible restroom on the ground floor.

This makes the Nave, the Parlor, the office, the Ranson Center and the restroom all accessible.

Unfortunately it is not possible at present to make the lower-level or the second-floor accessible, but the majority of functions take place on the ground floor where all possible accommodations have been made.

We will do whatever is possible to accommodate your needs and make you comfortable at Kenwood.
