Beginning in the 2015-2016 school year, our children's education will be taking a new form!
As always, youth of all ages will are invited to
join us each Sunday for worship at 10:30 am. They are welcome to sit with their families or spend the time in the children's area in our sanctuary where there are coloring pages, activities, and snacks for them to enjoy.
For the last 20 minutes of the worship service time, all children will be invited to transition from the Sanctuary to the Ranson Center classroom (next door to the sanctuary) for an interactive "Children's Activity" from the Spark "Activate Faith" curriculum, focused on the lectionary for the day. Children reconnect with their families and other church members at our Coffee Hour following church.
This will happen every week, with the slight
variation that every time there is a 5th Sunday in the month, that Sunday will be a "Youth Sunday", where youth will be invited to help plan and lead the service, and the Children's Activity will take place as part of worship in the Sanctuary.
If you are interested in volunteering to lead
Children's Activities at Kenwood, or in learning more about them, please contact Christina Lindsay (firstname.lastname@example.org).
In addition the the weekly Children's
Activities, we have monthly inter-generational activities that take place outside of worship time. The time and activities vary, so check our "Ingergenerational Activities" page or our "Events Calendar" to find out what's coming up!
