Children/Youth Education/Age-Level Ministries
The Committee did not meet this month, but did sponsor "Kenwood Goes to the Movies," an excursion to the Budget South Cinemas (15 participants), and Rock Climbing at the Urban Ecology Center (6 climbers and others who observed). Pre-planned for December is the Christmas Craft Event and Caroling to the Elderly and Shut-ins; however, both of the committee's chosen dates for these events is currently in flux due to other church activities being scheduled on these same days. Depending on what can be worked out, we may end up canceling both of them. Sunday School attendance has been okay but not great. The weekly numbers average about the same but the students vary week by week. This is something on which the committee needs to strategize. Coming up February 1-3 is the Winter Retreat. Information will begin appearing shortly.
